A place to develop with nurture and encouragement. 

Here children have access to the creative area, sand, water, paint and collage materials, dressing up, role play, reading and picture books and the table top area for puzzles and jigsaws.

With one member of staff to every four children, the younger children are able to gain confidence with feeding, using the toilet and other steps towards independence.

Children are gradually introduced to more structured activities in addition to their free play.  Under the guidance of staff, children can use the computer to learn basic IT skills.  Like all the children in the nursery, our pre-schoolers spend time each day outside in our two well equipped play areas.  

The Star Room is a lively and interactive place for our pre-school children to prepare for school.

As we are registered to provide Early Years education and the Foundation Stage curriculum, children aged 3 + one term are eligible for the Nursery Education Grant.
