Staff members are NNEB/BTEC/PSLA trained and are selected and
appointed by the managers and management committee. Any unqualified
members of staff are expected to undergo training. Please note
that all our members of staff have an Enhanced Criminal Records
Bureau (CRB) check and are approved by OFSTED.
The nursery has an ethos of inclusion, and therefore offers
facilities for children with Special Educational Needs.
The nursery has its own cook who makes varied snacks and meals
throughout the day. This ensures children with any special dietary
requirements are catered for individually. Please provide your
child with a piece of fruit each day he/she attends, to share
with others at lunch/snack time.
We operate a keyworker system. Each child in our care will
have an individual member of staff with whom you can discuss
your child's needs and development as well as being a point
of reference for you.
The nursery will close for one full day, three times a year
for staff training, and will close early one day per month for
staff meetings.
Medicine can only be given to your child if a doctor has prescribed
it.
All parents/carers are encouraged to participate in the nursery
in some way by joining the Management Committee, attending the
monthly parents meeting or helping to organise fundraising events
etc. This is YOUR nursery, please support it in whatever way
you can!
